About ZEN

 The Zimbabwe Europe Network (ZEN) is a network of European civil society organisations, including secular, faith-based, and developmental organisations as well as trade unions, with programmes of support and/or presence on the ground in Zimbabwe. ZEN was launched in 2009 to ensure that the EU and European countries would stay engaged on Zimbabwe.

 

Since its foundation ZEN has managed to position itself as a key platform on Europe – Zimbabwe relations, in which European and Zimbabwean civil society closely cooperate to engage European institutions in an effective and coordinated way. The network enables its European members and their Zimbabwean partner organisations to address issues and concerns to the European institutions and individual European governments.

 

ZEN does so by developing relevant, timely and adequate lobby and advocacy strategies, which include the publication of reports, expert meetings, (media) events and briefings, all aimed at highlighting developments in Zimbabwe and discussing possible European strategies and responses.
